Dr. Lisa C. Palmer, PhD, LMFT, CHT-Program and Clinical Director
Dr. Palmer is Founder and Program Director of The Renew Center of Florida and has extensive experience working with trauma, eating disorders, addictions, relationships, and high performance clients. She has worked with thousands of individuals, couples and families throughout the course of her career. She is also highly trained to work with those suffering from a variety of complex co-occurring mental health and relational issues.
Dr. Palmer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; Certified Hypnotherapist; Trained in Mediation; and completed ground-breaking research focusing on the drive to self-starvation amongst anorexic immigrant women to the U.S. She is President of the Palm Beach Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a AAMFT Clinical member, and an Approved Supervisor for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and with the State of Florida.
Dr. Bill Tollefson, PhD-Director of PTSD and Trauma
Patients enrolled in the PTSD and Trauma Program will have the unique opportunity to work closely with internationally known Trauma expert Dr. Bill Tollefson. William Tollefson, Ph.D., known as Dr. Bill to clients and colleagues alike, is a nationally known author, publisher, international speaker and certified Life Coach. Dr. Bill is a well-known expert amongst his peers on the effects of trauma and abuse and has developed highly effective and simple techniques for relieving some of the worst effects of Post Traumatic Stress. He has traveled extensively educating others on the effects and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) and his techniques. Dr. Bill’s mission is to help free others from memories of past hurtful events which hinder their growth possibilities in business and personal life. Dr. Bill’sbook, Separated From the Light : A Path Back from Psychological Trauma puts forth his theories and principles for stopping the haunting memories from the experience of trauma and abuse. He has also created CD’s and DVD’s for both survivors and professionals that teach his Rapid Reduction Technique, which is the same ground-breaking, process that he uses in his practice. Incorporating these techniques into life coaching sessions, Dr. Bill can help anyone develop the healing life skills necessary to take back their personal authority from memories of past trauma and abuse and move forward in life.
Kelly Scavone, MS, MFT-Counselor and Program Development
Kelly Scavone, M.S. is a counselor trained in marriage and family therapy. She is passionate about working with children and their families, and has been doing so for more than 5 years. Her experience as an early childhood educator and special education counselor has given her the knowledge that comes when working with and advocating for children with autism and special needs. Her past position as a residential counselor has given her experience in working with children and youth who are recovering from eating disorders, severe trauma, depression, anxiety and attachment disorders, and dual diagnosis. After receiving her B.S. in psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, she went on to receive her masters from Nova Southeastern University with a specialization in marriage and family counseling. Kelly is proud to be a part of the Renew Center.
Roseann Pascale – Assistant Counselor and Patient Coordinator
In her work as a coach and counselor, Roseann Pascale utilizes insights, re-programming and mindfulness techniques to help individuals and families remove painful blocks and experiences, and to move toward greater health, freedom, and peace of mind. Roseann also specializes in couples, parenting issues, and adolescents.
Roseann has assisted Dr. Palmer for several years with her intensive customized therapy programs for addictions, recovery, and traumas. She has also had the distinguished honor of working directly under the tutelage of one of the therapy field’s founding fathers, Dr. Salvador Minuchin. Roseann contributed a chapter to Dr. Minuchin’s most recent book “The Craft of Family Therapy” (Rutledge 2013). She utilizes a number of therapy models including structural, mindfulness, and narrative approaches.
Roseann has also enjoyed a successful career as a network television producer over the course of two decades, her credits include work for The Travel Channel, TLC and HGTV television networks. This makes her attractive to discriminating clients from the fields of entertainment. She received her BFA in Film Studies from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, as well as a Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL.

Dr. Brazelia Lazzari-Doctor of Holistic Medicine
Dr. Brazelia Lazzari provides conventional and holistic medical services to Dr. Palmer’s patients upon recommendation. It’s her goal to assist patients with natural methods to restore equilibrium, while pinpointing ailments in order to treat their causes rather than just the symptoms. This methodology is shared by the other conventional doctors on staff, who are also holistic minded and oriented, striving to provide quality hands-on-care to each patient.
Dr. Lazzari’s background, including homeopathic medicine, acupuncture, and craniosacral therapy. She is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture, licensed by the state of Florida and board certified through the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).
Courtney A. Minors, M.S., R.D., LD/N, Director of Nutrition
Courtney A. Minors is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Florida. Originally from the beautiful island of Bermuda, Courtney obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Pre-medicine focus at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. She then completed her Master of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University. During her Master’s degree program, Courtney completed her thesis research entitled Comparison of Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors between Single and Partnered Mothers living in Bermuda, available here. At the 2010 British Dietetics Association Annual Conference, Courtney presented her original research and her abstract was later published in the international scientific Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
Courtney has worked in a variety of settings with patients of all ages and disease states including as a clinical dietitian at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, a nutrition professor at Palm Beach State College, as a clinical dietitian and diabetes educator at Bermuda Hospitals Board, Chronic Disease Management Center, an outpatient private practice dietitian for AGI Dental & Medical Center and she has worked in addiction recovery and mental health facilities.
Having worked with addiction recovery and eating disorder clients, Courtney is an avid believer in addressing mental health and wellness through nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices Courtney ensures clients are educated and counseled in a fun and hands-on manner as this is key to their long-term success.
Courtney has studied and worked internationally in Bermuda, Brazil, Canada and the United States and brings her international exposure to her dietetic practice. She understands that no patient is the same; as such she uses a holistic and individualized approach with each client through individual & group sessions, supplement recommendations and health coaching.
Courtney is also an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys long distance running, kick-boxing and strength training. Courtney’s philosophy for health and wellness is that maneuvering through your own health journey does not have to be difficult but should always be fun!
Tricia Youngs – Director of Path to Healing Program
Tricia Youngs, LMHC, MCAP,QS has over 18 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse and is passionate about exceeding your expectations.
She has been facilitating The Path to Healing Intensive Trauma Program since 2009. Prior to her work in healthcare she held management positions in corporate America for over 10 years.
Amelia Fandrey-Clinical Director of Women’s Group Programs
Amelia Fandrey, LMFT received her Master’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Marriage and Family Therapy. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University, and is a dynamic leader who has motivated countless adults, couples, teens, children and families to first recognize the process of what is working in one’s life and then how to expand on that and maximize their abilities to achieve desired goals. Amelia works from a postmodern perspective and practices Narrative, Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. She believes that enhancing one’s abilities can create more opportunities in life and usually begins with the process of making one small change; however, small change is not easy and requires hard work.
Amelia has been working with individuals, couples and families and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida. She has experience providing clinical services to adults, couples, families, children and adolescents in various settings. Amelia has worked individually and in group settings with a clinically diverse population of clients. Her focus includes working with clients who are dealing with issues centered around addiction, eating disorders, mental illness, dual diagnosis, self-esteem, parent-child conflict, anger management, communication skills, couple conflicts, domestic violence, trauma, female and male survivors of sexual abuse, individuals whom have committed sexual offenses and family violence.
